2006 What We Learned About Groundhogs

In Japan We Learned that...

Groundhogs live in Pennsylvania.They are part of the squirrel family. They are sometimes called woodchucks. They are little furry animals. They hibernate in the winter. That means they sleep in winter. They sleep in burrows. The burrows are about 30 feet long. Groundhogs whistle when they are in danger. They sometimes have four or five babies in the summer. Groundhogs’ teeth keep growing all their lives.
