Park School We are located right across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. We have a lot of fog. My kids' parents all walk them in to my classroom everyday. We don't have school buses here. Our school just celebrated it's 100th Birthday. We had a big party. We have grades K-5. I have 21 students. We predicted overwhelmingly that the Groundhog would not see his shadow. Those kids thought they had won because they had the biggest number on the graph. It was a good lesson. We have not had a sunny day yet!
Olmstead ElementaryWe go to Olmstead Elementary School in Olmstead, Kentucky. Our classroom is upstairs. You can see our classroom window in the picture. Our school has 450 students from preschool to eighth grade. We think Olmstead School is GREAT!
Our Class
We love coming to kindergarten. We have 21 students in our classroom. There are 7 boys and 14 girls in our class. More students in our class ride a bus to school.
The Odyssey Preparatory Academy. Our school is in Buckeye, Arizona which is about 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix. We are a rural town that has seen lots of growth in the past 5 years. We are in the desert, but our school is surrounded by lots of farm land.
The Odyssey Academy is a charter school and this is our first year. We are in a temporary location as our permanent school is being built, it will be ready to move in over the summer. We have grades K-5, and will grow a grade level each year until we graduate our first class from high school.
I have 22 first grade students. All students are dropped off by their parents as we have no buses.
It is very sunny here, although we have had a lot of rain this winter, which is unusual for us. It was a nice sunny day on Groundhog Day and we all easily saw our shadow.
Hobbs Williams Elementary Our school is in the City of Grand Prairie. We are in between Ft. Worth and Dallas. We are about 15 minutes from the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium, and 20 minutes from down town Dallas. Our area is mostly flat. Our school was just built last year. We are a Title 1 school. We have grades Pre-k thru 5th. I have 20 children 11 boys and 9 girls. I have three children that ride a bus and the rest get picked up by their parents
Davis Magnet School/Wildlife
Our city is close to the Pacific Ocean and we have lots of seagulls at our school. They like to help clean up after we eat lunch. They hang out on the grass by the track and when we go to run they fly all over the place.
We see ducks that fly over from the park pond and we see squirrels that come over from the park, too.
At night some- times we see an opossum in our backyards. They like to get into the trashcans. They like to eat snails but we don’t see them eating snails.
We have ants, worms, beetles and crickets too. Lately, we've seen a hawk out by the swings up on a light pole. We haven't gotten close enough to see what kind it is.
